Product Description Guess I’m Not a Very Good Christian. . . Feeling: I do not pray enough, do not read my bible enough, do not share my faith enough, I know that God is love not enough, I’m not enough, I am committed not spiritual enough then this book is for you. Messy Spirituality was written for the silent majority of us who believe that we are not simply right Christianity. We spend most of our lives on what we do instead of what we did fear, focusing our imperfections rather than the love of God for the imperfect. Why? Because we are bombarded pounds, tapes, persuasive presentations, seminars and films that real Christianity is all there perfectly. Michael Yaconelli dares to imperfection, to suggest the infinite, and disorder are in fact, the ear marks of true Christianity, true Christianity is messy, unpredictable, wrong. . . and wonderfully liberating. And if genuine faith begins with registration, we will never have our full story. . . More>>

I read this book as part of destination, for a class in the community of spiritual formation and was very disgusted with him. It ‘s the worst book I ever read. My problem with the book is its complete distortion of God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ have been made available. It boasts of imperfect and corruption of life and makes the normal experience for Christians. This is an example of false theology arises when these experiences is the foundation of truth. If the Bible is quoted, it is often twisted out of context. Other times, it is deliberately distorted in order to support his false Conclution. The words: “I think” are often used as a support without biblical support. I hope nobody buys this book. Rating: 5.1
If you prefer mainstream Christian books on wellness and the truth of the Bible, this book is for Sie.Wenn believe that Jesus was just kidding when he said: “Be holy as I am” holy, then this book is for you ( 1 Peter 1:16). If you think that John was a bit ‘out when he said: “If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, and we do not practice the truth”, then this book is for you (1 Jn 1.06 is thought). If holiness is just an option not an obligation, then this book is for you Sie.Wenn personal experience about the truth of the Bible, then keep this book Sie.Wenn believe, however, that God saves us from our sins, and not our sin, if you feel God’s grace is powerful enough to keep us from stumbling, if you believe that sin separates us and breaks the Community of God, if you think that repentance is necessary for salvation (from sin all known), then do not read this book. Read the Bible. Rating: 5.1
While we are all sinners in need of grace, something of a holy life. Through the power of the cross of Christ helps us to cultivate his image – we never perfect on this side of heaven, but he asks us to discipline ourselves to read the Scriptures and follow his example to our best ability. In fact, we are told that we become mature Christians, our life is the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, and self-control zeigen.Dieses book reminds me of the gospel that I Ragmuffin I also feel short of expectations for a sacred life. God loves the sinner, but he is calling us to follow and to grow and change as I read recently entsprechend.Vor lost God by Tim Keller that I recommended. It ‘s like those books where you show God’s love for sinners, but will not be affected by the gospel was not in any book Weise.Dieses some interesting and valuable reflections and anecdotes, but it was full of generalities and, My opinion would to someone with the intellectual maturity of a rebellious high school student who somehow pulls his way, or chart were written In other words, write his Gospel. I have nothing but respect for the late Mike Yaconelli, but can not understand what is this book. Its basic idea is the good news that we are all sinners and saved only through the blood of Christ. Amen. But who is the target? The “Pretenders”, the perfect act, despite their misery? Those who acknowledge their sin, but it is difficult to recognize that Christ is our sinful nature inevitably mean? read one hand, and he mouths Bad fights for his own sins through the whole book, and go on the other hand, parts of this book as a “Hall Pass” to the front and sin. There can be no doubt that we will not be self-righteous, but we should also not easy to sin. Thank God, the book is only read a little and was sometimes funny, because haben.Rating little impact on my life: 5.3
As always, Yaconelli (like Brennan Manning and serving others) a great job presenting the great goodness of God we are. In his book, we are again and again of Jesus have lost, blind, crippled, socially excluded, and the prostitute remember emotionally hurt. This is to imitate a challenge for every follower of Christ, the love of Christ. I recently heard John Wesley encouraged to preach to the people, 90% and more in favor of 10%. Now I do not have to jump on the train, but the beauty of grace is real only when we understand our total depravity, guilt before a holy God, and eternal punishment if we do not accept the blood of the Savior in our name . I wish Mike would Yaconelli reminds us of these truths as well, and true gospel is both law and grace. Rating: 5.4
